National Museum of Sweden Builds a Strong American Contemporary Art Collection / by Linda MacNeil

Curated by Helen Williams Drutt, an exhibition of art works donated by contemporary American artists to the National Museum of Sweden will open in March, 2023. The Exhibition features works from 70 American artists working in mixed mediums, metals, glass, clay, wood and fiber.

Dr. Susanna Peterson, director of the National Museum of Sweden expressed the importance of having a strong presence of contemporary arts works be Americans.

From my work, Helen selected Neck Collar No.16 from 2010. It will be on display along with the other 70 works in New York from March 30, 2023

Many of the artists attended the wonderful reception on the 2nd of November at the The Swedish Residence, New York.

The exhibition will open March 30th and close July 30th 2023
